A SIPOC is a tool often used in Six Sigma projects, but is an overall good tool for understanding the key elements of a process, or the upstream inputs to the process. If we are to begin with the customer and then go backwards, SIPOC is a good framework to follow to help us identify the key measures and outcome indicators for how we should think about measuring success and what success looks like from the perspective of the customer.
